The symposium will begin with a welcome dinner on Sunday, 14 September 2025 and end with a farewell lunch on Wednesday, 17 September 2025. Further information is available in the program schedule.
Directions
Participants from Germany travelling with Deutsche Bahn reach the hotel by bus from “Frankfurt (Main) Süd” station within approx. 10 minutes.
Take bus 652 (direction to Neu-Isenburg-Gravenbruch Nachtigallenstraße) or bus 653 (direction to Neu-Isenburg Gewerbegebiet Ost) and get off at “Südfriedhof West”.
The stop “Südfriedhof West” is located 50 meters from the hotel.
For participants from abroad the closest airport is Frankfurt International Airport (FRA), which is located about 14 km away from the hotel.
From Frankfurt Airport take the local transport system to the city center.
Before getting on public transport, please purchase tickets at the counter or the ticket machine.
Go to “Frankfurt (Main) Flughafen Regionalbahnhof”. Take the S-Bahn (suburban railway) lines S8 (direction to Offenbach (Main)-Offenbach Ost Ostbahnhof) or S9 (direction to Hanau Hauptbahnhof) and get off at “ Frankfurt (Main) Konstablerwache”. Continue the journey with bus M36 (direction to Frankfurt (Main) Hainer Weg) and get off at “Südfriedhof West”.
The stop “Südfriedhof West” is located 50 meters from the hotel.

Accommodation and meals
Throughout the conference period, a block of single rooms has been reserved for all participants at the hotel. To avoid double reservations please do not contact the hotel directly.
Room charges for all invited participants will be billed directly to the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation and the Israel Academy of Sciences and Humanities for the following dates: arrival 14 September 2025 / departure 17 September 2025 (or 18 September 2025 for Organizing Committee 2026 members and participants from Israel only). Any additional nights apart from the dates listed will have to be covered by the individual participant. You will also be responsible for additional charges or any incidental charges upon check-out.
Costs for meals as indicated in the conference program will be covered by the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation for all participants.
Exclusion of liability
Please understand that both partner organizations are neither liable for any physical injury or damage to property that may occur during your travels to the meeting site and back home nor during your stay at the meeting site itself.
