The symposium will begin with a welcome dinner on Thursday, 06 November 2025 and end with a farewell lunch on Sunday, 09 November 2025. Further information is available in the program schedule.
Directions
The hotel is located right in the heart of Mannheim, opposite the famous Romanesque water tower and the art nouveau gardens of Friedrichsplatz.
Participants from Germany traveling with Deutsche Bahn can reach the hotel from Mannheim Central Station in approx. 10 minutes by bus or approx. 12 minutes on foot(see here).
Take bus RNV 60 (direction to Fernmeldeturm) or bus RNV 63 (direction to Lindenhof, Pfalzplatz) and get off at the stop Am Friedrichsplatz. The stop is almost directly in front of the hotel.
For participants from abroad the closest airport is Frankfurt International Airport (FRA), which is located about 75 km away from Mannheim.
The Alexander von Humboldt Foundation will arrange shuttle transfers from and to the airport for all participants from Brazil on arrival (05/06 November 2025) and departure (09/10 November 2025).

Accommodation and meals
Throughout the conference period, a block of single rooms has been reserved for all participants at the hotel. To avoid double reservations please do not contact the hotel directly.
Room charges for all invited participants will be billed directly to the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation for the following dates: arrival 06 November 2025 (or 05 November 2025 for participants from Brazil) / departure 09 November 2025 (or 10 November 2025 for participants from Brazil). Any additional nights apart from the dates listed will have to be covered by the individual participant. You will also be responsible for additional charges or any incidental charges upon check-out.
Costs for meals as indicated in the conference program will be covered by the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation for all participants.
Exclusion of liability
Please understand that both partner organizations are neither liable for any physical injury or damage to property that may occur during your travels to the meeting site and back home nor during your stay at the meeting site itself.
